The centenary celebrations on 12 July were a huge success. Thank you to all those who helped, but a special thanks to Toby Ewin whose idea it was to celebrate the Motspur Park station's 100th birthday, and to Paul Gumbrell who produced the fantastic replica railway layout and exhibition in the library. Given the great turnout (albeit that we were so lucky with the glorious weather!) we are likely to hold a 101st birthday party in July 2026! I hope all those who hosted stalls enjoyed the day and I really hope that more local users of our fantastic park will be motivated to join the Friends. We have a very flexible approach to people's involvement which we understand has to fit in with the family and other demands. We meet once a month, on the first Sunday at 10030 in the Earl Beatty.
